You're right. I think I just ran into a bunch of them on a bad day, maybe they'd just tested or something. I am really thankful that I don't have to work while going to school. It does make it a lot easier, even though I'd like to get a job right now it's just impossible with my schedule.
It's so funny that I get excited now over a rolling backpack and all those medical books. I think it's because it makes it seem more 'real' like you said. After all this time figuring out what career I wanted and then doing four semesters of pre-req's and a semester of co-req's it's hard to believe that in about a month I'll be starting NS.

I ordered all my books at B&N online and they came last week as well. I haven't even had time to look them over since I was out of town last week. Now I'm immersed in prep'n for finals....shouldn't even be looking at allnurses.com! I couldn't resist though. I figured I'd do a little checking on ya'll while I ate my lunch.
Mary, I lost my stethoscope in Cambodia (left it behind inadvertently) and so now I'm in the market. A friend said to get a middle of the road model because then I won't be worried all the time about someone stealing it or losing it. What is the one you got? Keli, have you gotten yours yet?

Welcome back! How was Cambodia?
I ended up getting the Cardio III at allheart.com It was a little expensive but I spent 17 years working in a noisy environment and I need all the help I can get.
Allheart has a great assortment of Littmans you should check them out.......
Good luck on your Patho final! I have a Math final Saturday and then my Patho final on monday.....

The really good thing about them is that you can't see through them at all and the material is really soft. I also picked up a pair of compression stockings for 4.00.....
my orientation is wednesday and I can't wait!

I've cleaned out my garage and some of my cabinets, I figure there's no way I'll be able to undertake anything like that once school starts, so I decided to have a garage sale today to get rid of some of the clutter. I made almost $200 on the junk cluttering my garage so now I can buy my steth!!!! :roll I think I"ll order it today, yippee. My drug calc class was pretty fun, now I"m not so intimidated by dosages etc. My orientation is Wednesday too, but ours is ALL day long, I have to be there at 7:00 which means I have to leave my house by 5:30!!! I can't remember the last time I got up that early, yuck. Does anyone know anything about Colorado? I'm researching maybe moving there after NS, I'm tired of the heat here. I've lived in Denver a couple of times so I'm familiar with the area, but I'd like to live outside of Denver and maybe work in Denver. We'll see, it's all going to depend on if my dh can transfer anyway. Well I guess I better get some studying done....
