Aria School of Nursing September 2012

Published

Hi all, I'm new to this site (just joined today). But I've been lurking for a few weeks. I'm applying for the Aria Health SON and would love to meet others who are applying for the September 2012 academic year.

Thank you Bumblebee for getting back to me! I will definitely talk to them at orientation. I defintely want to add on a class...so we shall see

Look at what u transfered in compared to what u need in the first level of classes and see if the time/day is available to add on.

@Ayanna,

I am feeling your pain! With the English 202 class, I took many writing intsive classes at Temple and they apparently aren't accepted as credit. I guess the same goes for my Human Dev class

Well im not going to make it to orientation guys...the only day I can go is tommorow and I've got errands to run because like 10 of us from school are going to AC for 3 days! I think the further into the semester we get, the harder we party! :yelclap: :D

I just checked my schedule too. I have hdfs 129, nurs 110, and math 35 (general view of mathematics). Not sure what the math is, but I thought that my math courses transferred.

Actually it shows that my statistics class transferred but not my algebra? I need to ask about that, I do not see why that wouldnt transfer.

Just checked my schedule too. I have nurs 110 and Cas 100. I will definitely ask about adding another class too. Like Awarren, I also wanted to take pharm this semester, but I don't think my time slot will allow it. If I still need hdfs, maybe they can add that in there. Although I hope they meant to say it's from 8am not 8pm! I am so excited about tomorrow its not even funny. My husband thinks its hilarious.:D

I have nursing 210 on my schedule

Does anyone else have it?

I have nursing 210 on my schedule

its a mistake. let them know

Wow I'm so excited about tomorrow. I know we dont officially start until Sept but tomorrow almost feels like my first day of school. Maybe I should take first day of school pics? Lol. I'm a nerd.

My schedule lists Nurs 110, Math 35, English 202A. Seriously I'm w/ you Philliesgirl I've taken so many math and english classes taking two more feels like a cruel joke! I'm going to swap Math 35 for Intro to Pharm. Math comes easy for me so I should save that class for a harder semester.

@ Bumblebee Intro to Patho and Intro to Pharm would have been hard to take together...and aren't the nursing classes considered harder than those? Phew! I understand that one completely.

Do you know whats up with the classes that aren't listed on the Curriculum and Rotation Plan? (ie Phil 10, Phil 103, MGMT 100, NURS 648) I'm trying to figure out if they are required or needed to meet certain graduation requirments.

Survey of management (mgmt) is required for me, but with things changing, it may not be required for you, not sure because i've heard conflicting things myself about the deal with this class and i was realllly hoping i didnt have to take it....but i do and im taking it in SEPT. NURS 648..im assuming u meant 468 which is patient education...that i know of, you need that class for the RN and the same thing applies, unless its been changed. And the other classes i believe can be used as a humanity...? not sure because i did not need them so i think thats right.

yes intro to pharm and intro to patho was tough on them the first time around. but they were also grateful to have gotten pharm out of the way later on. Its going to be tough on you too, but pharm sucks regardless. I think the teacher won't be killer either...

Of course nursing is harder than anything most of the time....its time consuming and then when you add clinicals and 4-5 am wakeups...it gets crazy sometimes...

I personally thought 110 was harder than 111. I loved 111...its when you get to start sticking peoplee!!! :nurse: :D

Did you all try to get your IDs yet? I went to Frankford Campus and was told I had to contact human resources...(*confused face!)

Plus I walk in on patient/police drama...
