Does anyone know of any 8 week courses of both semesters of A&P?
Does anyone have any experience taking Anatomy online? Is it even do-able??

Not really. You have to pair A+P I with lab to register for either. So if your goal is to avoid campus, it's not going to work. For the lab, you need to be there physically. Since you have to be there anyways, you might as well take a lab and lecture on the same day and hang around a little longer. It's a big help to actually have someone explain it rather then covering the material on your own. And as far as I know, most campuses require you to show up in person for exams anyways.
8 weeks is tough for anatomy, but there are plenty who do it. Best of luck.

I don't know of any online courses for A&P, but I do know some people that took it in 8 weeks over the summer.
Speaking for myself, I don't think I would be able to do it in 8 weeks. There is a TON of information and LOTS to memorize. I'm not sure I would've been able to really learn the material in 8 weeks, and this is material that you need to understand.
I also found lab to be an essential aspect of A&P. The models, charts, slides, cadaver, etc. that are available in the lab were incredibly useful in helping me understand the concepts.

Rio Salado College Online has an A&P course.

have you taken it at Rio Salado? Only concern is that I think they want at least two tests to be proctored or you have to go to the school in person.

I took an 8 week AP II at MGCCC and I think they offer AP 1 also.

I did AP I & II online through ccconline. They have them every semester, but they are the entire semester long, not accelerated. All the tests are online and you do the labs at home (no proctors needed). It's more expensive because you have to buy the lab kit (~200), but it was perfect for me. The classes were tough and took a lot of time - I took AP2 during the summer (12 weeks) and had labs every week that often took 20hrs to write up. I got A's in both classes, but definitely worked for them!
CCConline is a great school (its about 14 CC's around CO that have come together to provide an online option). You just need to find a school to have as your 'parent campus' that you pay your tuition to and get your transcripts from. BTW, these classes show up as being done through the parent campus itself, not online.
If you have any Q's feel free to PM me, I will help as best as I can.

Rio Salado will require your exams to be proctored and their courses are heavily emphasized on the self learner (strictly learn by the whopping textbook), so don't expect any sort of powerpoint attachments or PDFs!!

I am currently finishing up a/p 2 online at bucks county community college in Pa. The lab is virtual and is on a cd. I do have to go to school for the exams, which are taken in a proctored exam center.
They have provisions for people who are out of county for taking the exams. I am not sure what they are though.
I took a/p 1 over the summers at bucks in a 6 weeks course. Tough but doable. I have an A in each class.
As for not learning the material in both situations. My a/p 1 teacher in the 6 week course was 85 and as sharp as a tack. I learned alot from him. The online a/p 2 class, is taught by an instructor who also teaches classes at the school. he designed the anatomy program there. He is so organized and teaches with power points, notes he types up and supplies, videos from you tube he makes, and various other resources. He is amazing, and the amount of information he provides to help his students succeed is superior to any other teacher I have ever had.
So online courses are doable if you have a good teacher who is vested in the success of his/her students, and you must have the discipline to keep up with the material on your own.
Good luck
That sounded great until I checked and saw AP I is full! I will keep checking on it though. What was your experience like taking it at MGCCC online?
I really enjoyed the class and the instructor. It was full when I tried adding it in Spring 09 and I emailed the professor and explained my situation and she let me add the class. Or keep checking to see if people drop the class to try adding it. The only downside is the cost of the class because I was considered out of state. It is through a community college and on the transcript it doesn't say the class was online at all. I want to say I paid over 800 for the class and then books and online access to the lab stuff. I was in a situation where I had to complete this class by June 09 because I was admitted to a nursing program in August 09. I enjoy in person classes better, but this class was structured well for being 8 weeks.
There are 2 proctored exams, but you can take them at your local community college or wherever you can get a proctor. If I remember correctly there is a lab and lecture quiz online each week. The lab quizzes are fairly simple, just 5 questions. The lecture exams were multiple choice and directly from the book. It is a class where you will learn pretty much on your own, but I did learn alot. The midterm and the final is proctored. Oh and everything is broken down into sections. So 1 week you will do chapter 16,17,18 and the assignments associated with those chapters.
Any other questions just let me know.
