im a current nursing student and when i talked to some of the teachers and people that help run the nursing program (i guess) i asked them the same question and they say the pay can be anywhere between $23-$26/hr. trust me, u will have another job by the time you cross the line to come to MD (lol) there is a major shortage of nurses here, so that would be the least of my worries. now i dont know what hospitals or other workplaces are like the "best" or "worst". I wish u luck though!:)

I think if you google "Maryland hospitals", then go to the individual hospital's website, you will find that like in most places, there are a bunch of openings for nurses. You simply need to find one that fit with your needs and values then apply. My last jobs were in Philadelphia & NY, and I can tell you I make a lot less here but the nurse to patient ratio is not as ridiculous as some hospitals in NY.

There are plenty of jobs in Nursing if you move to the Baltimore area. That is where all the best hospitals are: UMMS, John Hopkins, UMMS-Shock Trauma, etc. Unfortunately, since I moved to a nice quiet area, Baltimore is too long of a haul for me to work so I work at a small hospital. I use to work at AAMC in Annapolis, which is a great place to work as well.
If you move out this way, don't worry, there are plenty of jobs, especially in Baltimore!

Hi. I live in Maryland. I attached a website for you (Balt Metro area), there are LOTS of hosps mentioned with their websites including directions as well. Not sure where you are planning to live, but did someone say Baltimore?? Anyhow, I don't live in Balt county, live in the burbs further away, and have worked agency for many of the hospitals. Different units/different hosps are...well, they are different and some I liked, some I didn't. Really depended on the people I worked with & the environment. Best of luck to you
