Are you doing fecal transplants very often?

I know that they've been around for at least 10 years. Just read about their effectiveness in research lately. Sounds like they are very effective, even though icky.

Of course we do fecal transplants regularly! In fact, it is a required part of the employment process for all high-level administrators. Right after they are hired, they are sedated and their brains are replaced with fecal matter. To assess success of the transplant, you must monitor carefully for the admincritter's ability to use the following terms in a sentence, without irony:

Press-Gainey

Patient-centered care

Customer service/satisfaction

Seriously, though: I have enjoyed reading this thread, and expect that many patients in our ICU could benefit from this.

Here is an article I read a while ago from The Scientist related to C-Diff it is certainly worth reading. It goes into Fecal Transplants as well as several other medications in various stages of clinical trials.
