This fall 2013 I'm taking A&P I first semester with lab , and biostats, psy, & history. But I'm also going to be working 8 hour shifts at my job as a care giver. I was planing to work 2 days during the week and weekends. Some ppl say I shouldn't work at all. Do you think it will be that difficult? Also I do a 4 hour internship at a hospital, 4 shifts a month. Then in spring I'm going to take chem and A&P II. After that I will be done with my prerequisites (: what do you guys think? And say or advice would be great! Thank you!

That sounds doable. Alot of studying, so you will have to be very disciplined. Is history a pre req or is that your HUM elective? Psy is an easy A for me, A & P I was hard but I did it in a five week summer session and thought I would DIE . Sooooo much work. I'm not familar with Biostats either. Not one of our pre reqs.

Sounds good to me. I have 14 hours this semester and working 3-4 12 hours shifts a week. I'm only going to class two days a week and 4 of my hours are online.

I think it all depends on how motivated you are and how much time you will actually dedicate to the classes and studying. That probably means giving up free time to "relax" or hang out with friends. :-/ My situation is similar, I am taking A&P1, Microbiology (both with labs) and nutrition on campus and then Human development online. Then A&P2, Patho, and Stats on campus and a hum class online in the spring. I am still working 40 hrs a week as a pharmacy tech throughout.
You are the only one that knows yourself and what your habits are. :) If you start to set up a routine and discipline yourself now, get a your time management skills down before nursing school, when you get there you will have those skills established and be better off for it. That's what I'm trying to master! I start next fall if all goes according to plan!! :)
Good luck! :)

It does very heavily depend on how you prioritize your schedule and if you know you are motivated to succeed. My first few semesters I worked 40 hours a week + did 15 credits to stay full time and I managed. It was tiring but it was what I had to do to get by.
I don't think your semester sounds bad. A&P & Stats are going to be your time eaters. Psych and History will probably get put to the back burner, at least that's always how it worked for me! Last semster I took A&P I, Microbiology, Precalc and writing and was fine with working 18 hours a week. You can do it!

It seems doable. I just took gen chem 2 with lab, sociology, growth and development, and US history 2 in the 8 week summer session. It was only 13 hours, but I do work about 45 hours per week in a hospital, and I did get A's in all of my classes (just barely in chem)... I needed all A's because my GPA is low from my first year at college.
I'm not going to lie, it was definitely brutal. I didn't have time to do anything but study and homework. I'd stay up until at least 4 or 5 am every night and then be at class at 8 am. Even while I was eating, driving, or sleeping, I thought about the minutes going by that I was wasting not studying (on the plus side, I did lose a few lbs.. Lol).

I think that is a good schedule. For most of my four semesters in pre reqs, I took 14-16 credits & worked 20 hours a week. I would balance 2 hard classes & 2 easier classes just as you are doing.
