Are experienced nurses that have re-entered the job market or looking to change nursing jobs having an easy time finding work, or is it difficult for experienced nurses to make the transition given the current market?

but from the posts it seems that nurses of all experience levels are having a difficult time
It seems to me like the replies are pretty much split with some having trouble and others being able to find new jobs depending on where you are. In any event things will definitely swing back around hopefully soon.

Can anyone explain this: based on your experience of course, if you transfer to a new hospital with experience (x# of years), does the new hospital match your old hospital's salary or will they pay their hospital salary in accordance with the years experience you are at. I ask, as this can result in a salary discrepancy, no?

I agree it depends on where you are. I'd think with the amt of hospitals, and nursing programs we have, we'd be saturated.
I have roughtly 1.5 yr ttl exp. I just accepted a position for an imaging company as a review nurse. I'm leaving a hospital job that I've been at a little under 10 mos. from my last day. It was an absolute fluke I found the listing and applied. I will even be making a little more money. So I guess it does depend on where and what the needs are.
