Are there certain states where it's easier to find a job if as a new RN?

Hi everyone, I'm currently in high school and hope to become a nurse in the future by getting my BSN. I was just wondering if there are certain states/regions where it's easier to find a job as a new grad than other places, and if so, what are they? I'm sorry if this isn't true at all, I know I clearly don't know as much as you guys, I'm just looking for some guidance. I'm just thinking about colleges that I might want to attend, and I was wondering if this was a factor to consider. Thanks!

In general, it is easiest to find employment in the places where few people would willingly live long-term. This includes places such as South Texas along the Mexican border, North Dakota, Wyoming, rural Oklahoma, rural Missouri, etc.

In my state (in the south) it's also usually easier to find employment as a new grad at smaller community type hospitals. My hospital doesn't have RN I, RN II, RN III, and RN IV positions. They have RN positions. And some are even listed as RN/LPN.

I got a job at my community hospital and it was the only place I applied. I graduated Saturday and started orientation Monday.

Don't set your heart on any particular area of the country. The job market could change completely by the time you graduate. Your best bet is to be prepared to move anywhere in the country after graduation.
