b) elevate the head of the bed

c) document the results in the chart............MY ANSWER

d) instruct the patient to cough and deep breathe.

2.- which of the following would most concern the nurse during a patient's recovery from surgery?

a) safety

d)pain control......MY ANSWER

thank you so much;)

Ummm hello, hemorrhage is the most important. I would rather be in pain (pain level or surgery was not specific) and hyperventilate than to HEMORRHAGE and lose consiousness or die. If your patient just had a coronary stent and the sheath site check was his right femoral vein, which was hemorrhaging and he complains of pain.... I hope nurses wont run for the percocet or morphine!!

These type instructors are why im suddenly a bad test taker!!!!!!

Hmmm.... I can hear my instructor's voice echoing in my head. Safety, safety, safety... However, wouldn't hemorrhage qualify as a safety issue? I would pick hemorrhage.

As for the first answer, I think document the data since all data is within normal range. The PO2 level threw me off at first but that's because I was thinking of SaO2 which should be at 95 or above... A mistake I commonly make with all my tests....
