Arc Spring 2017

Published

Hi everyone!! I know that it is a little early but I just wanted to start a thread for anyone applying for the ADN program at Arc for Spring 2017. I am applying with what seems to be the 70 point minimum for the last few years so hopefully its enough this semester as well! Please feel free to reach out, since we may be seeing each other in the Spring.

No I haven't this is my first time! What about you? I tried to look around to get an idea of what the cutoff is around but it's so up and down. Maybe we can keep each other updated.

This is my first time applying anywhere and I only applied to SJDC and ARC. Delta closes on the 22, I wish ARC closed the same day!

I agree, atleast delta will keep us occupied for a moment while we turn in our documents... As for arc it's just the waiting game.

@bfoster618, did you apply to any other schools?

I did not this time around. I applied to Sierra and ARC last semester. I live near Placerville, so Sacramento is about as far as I would want to travel. I wish they had a couple more options near by!

Yea I bet, I understand thought I took one of my science prerequisites at Flc el dorado and I'm in Elk Grove... So I get it.

Application changed to "Qualified". Anyone else have a change? So it looks like last year, they sent out notices on the 19th of November. The "official" 8 weeks is on November 25, day after Thanksgiving...I'm really hoping they send them out the week prior....I sure some of us would love to share the good news with our families and be extra thankful this year! :) Hope you guys are having a nice weekend!

Mine changed to qualified on Friday; you would still need at least 70 points to be placed in the pool. ARC likes to use the entire 8 weeks until they let people know whats going on. This is my third time around so i'm used to the wait. Anyways goodluck

Yep...last time I qualified with 70 points..this time I have 75.

I turned mine in the 13th, and is still stuck on "Application Recieved" since the 15th. First time applying, so I hope it changes soon. A classmate of mine turned his in today, which is the last day, and he signed in at 258. Hopefully it doesn't hit over 275 :)

258 is a big number, but I don't think everyone will qualify and if they do they still need at least 70 points to be placed in the pool.

I know. But when they take the top 1/3 including 70 points, that's almost 100 or so people.

Yea. I agree, it seems like it will be similar to the spring 2016 statistics on the nursing site.
