ARC/SCC ADN FALL 2019

Published

Hi Everyone!!! I didn't see a thread for Fall 2019, so I figured I'd get the ball rolling. This is my first time applying to both SCC and ARC. I turned in my paper packets on 2/11 and 2/13. SCC updated my status to received this morning. I plan to also apply at Delta, but would really prefer acceptance at ARC or SCC.

Did you go to the scc lvn program?? If so how was it??

Have u checked ur status at Delta? I applied there but not through their advanced placement, I met their requirements but was not selected and got the notice like beginning of April.

I applied to their rn program, now I have to wait until May for their ranking/selection

I emailed SCC and they responded to check my Google email. I am not familiar with SCC so I did not look there. I have a letter that says I am provisionally selected for spring 2020. Does that mean I got into the program? I just don’t wanna get my hopes up. Is that what everyone else’s letter is saying who got accepted?

That means you have been accepted, and your first Semester will be in Spring 2020. The "provisional" part means you still have stuff to do and there are deadlines associated with those things. Pay very close attention to that stuff and make sure you meet all those deadlines. That stuff is very much a part of your selection process and you are being looked at as of right now for your ability to follow directions. Your entry to the program will not be "finalized" until you've completed all the requirements that they want you to do and this includes the first days of school because they will go over all the paperwork and such to finalize entry at that time. Basically the first couple of days are "housekeeping" stuff to finalize your enrollment in the program.

As long as you do your part, congratulations! The SCC program is very good and you'll need to be a bit flexible about your actual on-campus classrooms as they tore down Mohr Hall and are replacing it. Mohr Hall housed much of the healthcare programs, including LVN and RN.

Thank you so much for all the good info! I am really excited to start this journey. It looks like you are an RN. Did you go through SCC? If yes is there anywhere to see a schedule just to get an idea what each day might look like. Start times? I am curious because I will have a little bit of a drive to get there. And this is a silly question but what color are SCC uniforms? Thanks!

So are we having to wait another week to hear back from ARC? I thought today was their deadline?

We were suppose to but some apps haven't been reviewed and qualified according to some student on here, so yeah possibly until next week they said

Mine was finally changed to qualified last night.

They just put an update on their site, they stated "notifications will be sent the week of 4/29/19, "

@Alexj2018 Hey where did you see that? Could you send me the link? I never knew they did notifications, I would like to have it for future reference. Thanks ?

Go to their ARC nursing program page and you will see it, they rarely do that but I just happened to see it

Notifications as in gmail acceptance emails
