Apu lvn-bsn fall 2017

Published

Hello, I submitted my application for Fall cohort this year. My APU representative told me that Nursing Department will not start the review process of the applicants until May cohort starts. It's already the middle of May and still hasn't heard anything from them. I'm just wondering if any of you are in the situation as I am?

Hey guys,

I was also expected into the fall cohort at the I.E campus. I was told classes will begin Aug 28th. I will also be taking the competency on Aug 4th. The study guide and other info will be sent tomorrow via email. I'm soooo nervous!

Hello, I received a letter yesterday which says "Congratulations on your acceptance to Azusa Pacific University. Your application to the Bachelor of Science in Nursing LVN-BSN Program has been approved for Regular Admission Standing for the Fall 2017 Term." It didn't mention Inland Empire campus but does this mean I got in to the Fall 2017 cohort? Also, I got an email few days ago that my APU online account has been updated to a student and it says that my Major is LVN-BSN. I'm a bit confused because I still have to take my Competency Test on July 31. I will call Mike and Shanon tomorrow to clarify this.

Yay.. I am sure you are reading correct. Mike had mentioned over voicemail that I was accepted. I think they are anticipating we pass the exam.I would think they are referring to now.2017 fall.... but I hear you.....double check for your peace of mind.

Everything is contingent upon us passing the competency. We must pass it to move forward. As for your location, I'd check to see which campus you'll be at. I was told I would be at the I.E campus. I could be wrong but, I think this cohort (fall 2017) will be at the I.E satellite campus.

Got a call from Mike and Sharon, both confirmed that this is for Fall 2017 cohort and I will be at the Monrovia campus when I pass the test. I think that's the reason why we have different Competency Test and orientation dates.

Hello, how was the last interview? I got an email from the program manager earlier today. I'm scheduled for the competency exam on july 31.

Hi Katrina,

First let me say congratulations..... My interview went ok I guess. I knew that since I will not finish micro until the end of August that my chances were slim and that I may not get in. Dr. Kay also had to me that there were a lot of applicants and just depends on the class and their GPA. If I'm being honest I didn't want to start until May anyway. I am in the process of moving so I have a lot going on. I will just ask Mike to resubmit my application for the Summer start date.

Congratualtions to you all.

Thank you :) I'm glad the your interview went well.

Hi guys!

Congrats on getting into the program! My best friend is currently in the LVN to BSN program with APU she had stated the competency exam is very easy its literally the study guide, and basic LVN things we all know :) This is so exciting to read I can't wait to apply end of Fall Good Luck!!

I'm studying for the Competency Test, which is taking in three days. I'm super nervous!!!!

My classmate from LVN program went to APU today and met with a nursing counselor. She said now that the program is only 20 months, most students find it hard to work so they will revert back to being 24 month long program two semesters from now. That way students can work while in school.

I know I keep reading on different chats that the competency exam is easy and basic but I'm still terrified! Especially because our acceptance depends on it! Good luck to us all!
