Hi Everyone!
I was wondering if any other aspiring future nurses out there are applying to Azusa Pacific's Entry-Level Masters program for spring 2018. I applied a couple of weeks ago and it would be awesome to chat with others who are in the same boat. I've been an avid reader on this site for a very long time and this is my first post.
Hello everyone! I decided to give Judith from the IE campus a call to see the status of my application and found out that I was accepted to Spring 2018! She didn't mention anything about sending emails out to those students who were accepted but she did mention that those who were accepted should be receiving their acceptance letters in the mail soon. So I would suggest calling if you're dying to know if you were accepted or not. I'm so excited to start!! :)
So I just received a call from APU and and email officially confirming that I got accepted into the Summer 18 cohort. So I was given wrong information last week about being placed in the Fall 18 cohort. For the IE campus btw. (: congrats to all!!
How was the process with I.E campus? I just applied to the same site for summer 2018.
My gpa wasn't a 3.0 so I'm on that provisional contract thing for fall 18 I have all but 2 pre-reqs done I'm finishing up one of the last 2 right now. Good luck on your journey! (:
Hello, can you elaborate on what provisional contract indicates? And what they want from you compared to regular admission?
Hi Sig_336,
The provisional contract is for accepted applicants with a below 3.0 GPA. It states that the admitted student must receive higher than a B- in the first 12 units of the program to continue through. I believe that once the 12 units are completed then the student is released from the contract and is then placed on the same guidelines as the other students.
As for the I.E. campus admission process, it's basically the same as the other two campuses. Once you've completed your application there isn't much else to do except wait for an interview. My interviewer was extremely nice and the interview was more conversational than anything, she asked probably 5 or 6 questions and then allowed me the opportunity to ask questions. Much of the interview was centered around getting to know me as a person and probing my motivations and and fit for the program. The interview was about as low stress as you can get. After the interview it's just another waiting game until admissions decisions are sent out. I found the IE campus to be extremely helpful in answering questions I had so don't be afraid to reach out to them if needed. Best of luck and hopefully you'll hear back for an interview soon!
Hey! Thanks for getting back to me. I actually just had my interview last week at the IE campus for the Summer 2018 program. It wasn't as stressful as I thought it was going to be. Very conversational rather than being drilled like an emplpyement interview. How long did it take before they got back to you?
Hi guys! I've been reading through this thread as I am interested in applying into the ELM at apu but not until 2019. I have some questions if anyone can answer.
I'm currently in the process of getting my Bachelors of science in Health science in healthcare management at CSUDH. Does anyone know if this qualifies to apply for the ELM program since I am a bit confused as to what bachelors can apply.
I have only take human anatomy a couple years ago and got a C. Does anyone know if this is ok to keep?
I don't want to waste time retaking it
Since I still need to take physiology, organic chem, gen Chem and microbio.
Lastly
Can I apply to the program if I'm in the process of doing the prereqs or do the have to be done before applying?
Thanks in advance!

I spoke to Judith she asked for my name and looked up my application file and told me.
