This is a forum for those who applied to APU ELM Summer 2021 program! I applied to the main campus.

Hi all! I am currently in the Summer 2020 cohort and just wanted to hopefully ease some of your minds. I applied June 1,2019. Interviewed July, 8 2019. Received official acceptance email from the program representative 9/3/2019. Key word being official because on 8/30/2019 I got an email asking me to make an APU Network account, which was I guess my unofficial acceptance. So when they say end of August it literally is end of August LOL. ALSO if you do all get admitted it is a $1000 admission deposit (something I was not ready for LOL) Good luck everyone!

You are just a blessing! I’m so happy for you. I’ve been stressing about the interview portion since they called me. If you have any words of wisdom, I’m sure we’d all appreciate it!

I was in the same place as all you guys last year so I get it!! I forgot to add I was reached out to schedule an interview July 3rd. Only 5 days to prepare! So my interview was in person which I doubt is happening in these times. But I’ll let y’all know how mine went. First 30 minutes I had to read an excerpt and summarize it. The rest of the interview was in a very relaxed manner. They mainly want to get to to know you and your journey to this place and make sure you are mentally ready for this masters program because but is intense! So be ready for the questions why nursing? Why NP? Why APU? (make sure you include Christianity). Also be able show you are ready to commit to an accelerated program as this one. Oh and they asked how do you feel about change?

Hi everyone! I was accepted into the Spring 2021 term but I chose to postpone my admission until Summer 2021 at the IE campus. Good luck to you all, I look forward to hearing from you guys! ?

Hi! Did they let you choose what term you prefer after you got accepted for Spring 2021?

No, I had to email the program manager and she said we are allowed one postponement. I originally wanted to start earlier (fall 2020) but that required me to be placed on a waitlist. But I believe they leave 5 spots open each semester for people from other application periods and since decisions hadnt been made for Summer 2021 I was able to be moved into that cohort.

Hi everyone! I wanted to see if there are fellow students on this forum who are reapplying to this program, or if there students who applied more than once and were accepted/denied and are willing to share their stories. I know there were quite a few people from previous terms who applied more than once and did not make it on their second/third tries. Wanted to see if there is any advice for re-applicants..

Good luck to those who have interviews coming up! Go in confident! Your GPA or level of experience IS NOT a deal breaker, so dont feel discouraged if you stumble across other forums where people get denied even though they have 4.0s and hundreds of hours of experience. That definitely stressed me out and I didn't think I had a chance but they DEFINITELY look at you as a whole rather than just your GPA or resume. ?

Just checking in to see if anyone has received any information and/or have interviews coming up? Curious if they are going to be conducting interviews in person if we are lucky enough to receive one.
