Hello,
just starting a forum thread so all applicants or future applicants can communicate with each other regarding the application.
I have applied to Azusa Pacific ELM program for Spring 2021 at the Inland Empire. I have not gotten an interview yet but hopefully soon, fingers crossed. Anyone gotten a response yet?
For the I.E. applicants, I think we'll get notified on Monday. The decisions were made last Monday according to a representative, and they are being electronically processed. That's what I was told, but may be misinformation. The responses may come in waves, as it seems from those in this forum who got accepted/denied by the Main and SD campus received their news on different days (???).
For those who got denied, did y'all receive that general "Interim Enrollment Policies and Practices" email? I don't think that email signifies anything bc I'm assuming it was sent to everyone in their system, but I'm just curious.
Again, CONGRATS to those who got accepted, good luck to those who are still waiting, and for those who got denied, don't lose hope!

Just read another APU ELM forum, and some people were already accepted to the Spring 2021 IE campus in the previous pool of applicants. The cohort is 25 people, but usually 5 of those 25 were admitted prior, so that leaves 20 spots more or less. For those who got put into later cohorts than what you applied for, that's the reason. Those spots were essentially filled already. This makes me even more nervous hahaha

@Lizard19 Yup, still nothing on this end, too. I've been refreshing my application page periodically all day hahaha I'm so nervous, but whatever happens, happens! Wishing the best of luck to you ?
Hello beautiful people!
I recently got accepted at Azusa Pacific for Summer 2021 and I wanted to see if there was anyone else here that could be in my cohort? They just sent out an email regarding the $1000 deposit and other details. Is anyone else in Summer 2021? Does anyone know of any other social media groups (facebook, etc) where we could meet and chat with people in our cohort?
Good luck everyone~!
@SunnyDaize CONGRATS! I got accepted for Azusa for Spring 2021 so unfortunately I won't be in the same cohort. Hopefully I'll be seeing you around campus!
If any of you got accepted for Azusa Spring 2021 I created a facebook group under the name of "APU ELM Azusa Spring 2021." Can't wait to connect with you all~
Hi everyone! I was accepted to Azusa's Spring 2021 term at the SD campus.
I know some of you are interested in stats:
sGPA 3.67 ( Was told this by an advisor, but I still have classes that are in progress).
Clinical experiences: +4,000 hours (ER scribe, optometric technician, scribe in primary care, health care specialist w/ Google and an MA in primary care).
Those stats and amount of hours seems decent...However, I graduated with a BA in Psychology and BS in Molecular Cell Biology with a very low GPA (I think around 2.7 or 2.8). To really demonstrate my true academic potential, after undergrad I applied for a post bacc program and earned a cumulative GPA of 3.89. Even then my GPA averaged out to be a little over a 3.0 cumulative, however even now am continuing to take classes full time while working full time to raise my GPA further and gain more clinical exposure. After messing up in undergrad it took me a very long time to gain these clinical experiences while also taking courses to raise my GPA. If you didn't get in this cycle, please please don't give up!! I had lost all hope especially after my interview because I was seriously hyperventilating from my anxiety and thought I did HORRIBLE. I don't know how they determine their decisions, but don't give up. They may see something in you that you haven't seen in yourself.

Thank you so much! I know it's far ahead in the future but what are you doing to prepare? I'm worried about finding housing in the area since I'm coming down from Northern California. I also heard that we will need to get a lot of supplies like stethoscopes, scrubs, etc. before we start. I just want to be as prepared as possible since it'll all be so expensive ?

Hi @SunnyDaize! CONGRATS on your acceptance! I posted a link to the FB group I made in the other thread but it’s pending approval. You can search for it on FB, it’s named “APU ELM Azusa Cohort 114 Summer 2021”.
