Hello,
This is a forum for those who applied to APU ELM Fall 2021 program! I applied to the main campus.
Just received an email to schedule an online interview - anyone else?
Howdy guys,
I am not from your class I am from Summer 2021, but we had the exact same question. You will most likely not get a letter. You will see your acceptance letter in the portal ( where you applied ). Just put in your user name and password and you will see it. If you don't see a yellow envelope your account has not been updated yet with the decision. You will also get an email confirming it from your school rep and Judith as well. in the email from Judith it will break down when to pay for your deposit but you have 45 days after the decision to pay. I hope this helps if you have any other questions ill try to help.
@t.winna Congratulations to everyone who got accepted! Unfortunately I did not make it this round so I will be reapplying! If any of you have any advice on improving my application, such as things I can do to write a stronger personal statement, as well as interview tips would be greatly appreciated ?
Hi, I applied for Fall 2021 and my interview is coming up. Was the interview tough, formal? Do you mind sharing your GPA for science and non science courses? Thanks

Hi there! I don't think the interview was tough, it was actually pretty casual and the interviewer was really nice! Just be prepared to answer all the questions and you'll be golden! My science GPA is 3.76 and non science is 3.81. Hope this helps and good luck on your interview!!
Hi! I was curious if anyone who was accepted into the program would be willing to share their stats? (cum GPA, science/nonscience GPA, volunteer/work experience, etc.). ASU is my goal school and I'm going to be applying soon, so I would really appreciate if anyone would be willing to share!! Congratulations everyone, I wish all of you the best in your nursing school endeavors!
hi.... so my stats were actually not phenomenal right after I graduated from undergrad. I am beyond grateful for being offered a seat and being given a chance in this program. I was a biology major, who did relatively horrible during my first 2 years. Towards my last two years, I definitely improved my study habits and did well in my upper division courses. I graduated with a cumulative GPA of 2.99. After graduation, I took the time to retake some prerequisites that I received a B/C in. I made sure I had all A’s for my prerequisite GPA. I only have a B+ in Anatomy. Also, during my gap year I obtained my CNA certificate, volunteered with underserved communities (food bank, hospice care, and tutored foster/probation youth), and worked as a medical scribe at a family practice. I also think my interview went really well and I’m assuming my personal statement was quite impactful and emphasized the reasons why I want to be a nurse. I tried my best to avoid those generic statements indicating that “I like helping others” “it’s been my passion/dream since I was a little girl”. I guess my real life experiences helped me convey my ideas better and explanation as to why nursing is for me. Also, being able to distinguish the role differences between nurses, NPs, PAs, and MDs and why I specifically chose the NP route. I also went to an advising meeting before this entire COVID situation and the counselor told me how much the admission team wants to know you want to pursue a NP licensure out of this program and understand what you are getting yourself into... I definitely tried to display this in all aspects of my application
Yes ! I just had my interview today. I think it went fair. But I totally think it could have gone much better considering I have been preparing for 3 weeks. My interviewer asked me the questions people said they would ask but indirectly ? That threw me off.
Did they ask you which campus you prefer for your interview? Are you planning to reapply? and when? APU is my top choice and I hope to get in this round...

Hey, I'm sure you did well! I applied this round and had my interview not too long ago. She didn't ask for my preferred campus and I guess she assumed it's Monrovia since that's the campus I applied to! Which campus did you apply to?

Hey guys! I applied for Fall 2021 at main campus, but was accepted for Spring 2022. I was just curious did you guys get any acceptance letters through the mail or just the electronic letter. Kinda bummed haha I wanted to have a physical letter mailed to me house, but understandable if they aren’t doing it this year because of Covid.
