APU ELM Fall 2022

Hi everyone! 

I just submitted my application for the Fall 2022 program. I thought this would be a great way to convene and see where everyone is at in process as well as share helpful tips for interviews.

CONGRATS!!

Quick question: how sets of scrubs did you purchase/ necessary for the program? Re: books - which books did you purchase new? Used?

Do they require interviews for the ELM and BSN program? When I spoke with them way back, they mentioned the essay will replace the interview portion. Any word on this? Thanks!

We did have to do an interview for the ELM program. It was a virtual one in 2021. I don’t think you have to do an interview for the BSN program.

BSN - no interview; ELM - zoom interview.. for 2022.

Hi! I’m going to Monrovia campus this fall and the program manager keeps telling us the textbook bundle is required. Is it really necessary for us to purchase it or can we buy used books. Does anyone know?

When I went to the info meeting for a different nursing program: it was advised to purchase the bundle due to the acess codes needed for the labs ( Hw) and not buy used books due to that. I have heard from other students that did not buy the bundle, they only bought new books that required the access codes and rest were used but had to some hard time searching for some of the books..I guess it all about time, convenience and money.. supposedly you save on the bundle and those books you will use for the 15 months of the program..your post grad is a different story..

Thank you for responding!! That’s what I’m afraid of that we need access codes for the labs we are using. I wish they would just tell us which one we really need the codes for.

SO..True..I registered for the classes already but the textbook info was blank, so I couldn't even start looking for the books..

Same! And I want to know how much the bundle will cost us.
