APU ELM Fall 2016

Published

Hi All!

I am applying this year to Azusa Pacific University (Inland Empire Regional Center) this fall to start Fall of 2016. I was surprised that I couldn't find a thread for Fall 2016 Applicants so I decided start one for us. Here we can discuss/ask about our application or interview process or anything else relevant to this.:)

Hope to hear from you all soon.

Hi all,

Does anyone know how long the program takes to complete? I know the prelicensure portion is 15 months (for BSN), but I'm not sure about postlicensure. On the site it says average completion time is 4 years, does that mean it takes roughly 3 years for MSN after passing the NCLEX-RN?

Any information on this would be much appreciated! Also applied for Fall 2016 and nervously waiting for a call/email! Good luck to everyone that applied- hopefully we hear good news soon!!

My interviewer says on average it takes 4 years total to complete the entire program. She said this is because you have to be working part time as an RN during your MSN portion.

As the above post mentions, an average of 4 years because the student has to work part-time during the postlicensure part of the program.

I'm still waiting to hear too. I will call the school tomorrow.

I applied to the SD campus for fall 2016 and got a call yesterday informing me that I was in! Who else has been accepted for SD campus?!

congrats on getting accepted! I applied to the main campus and still waiting to hear back!

Called the main campus today and decisions will be made by Feb. It seems so far away but I guess we have no choice but to wait.

Did anyone here indicate that they would be open to attending all 3 campuses and how did you do that? I didn't put it in my application. My interviewer never asked me about it, and I also totally forgot to bring it up. I applied to the main campus and wonder if it is too late to tell them that I'm flexible especially because it sounds like the San Diego & Inland Empire campuses already met last week to make decisions.

Hello all,

I've sort of just been watching the comments to see what is going on with these programs, but now I have a legit question. So here I am! I found out on Friday that I was admitted to Azusa in San Diego, but today received an e-mail that its for the Spring 2017 term!! Has anyone else heard this? I'm very happy to be accepted, but was confused and a little upset when I heard it was for a full year from now!

Hey, congrats on your acceptance to the program!!

Did they happen to say what term you were admitted to? I heard on Friday that I got in.. but now they say its for the Spring 2017 term??

I told my interviewer I was open but she asked I ranked the campuses of the ones I would rather attend. Azusa is my top choice, IE 2nd ans San Diego last.

Hi! I also have applied to the San Diego regional center. But no reply so far... Feeling panicky??!!

You should call/email to verify. I got a call and they told me I was accepted for Fall 2016 and I have also received a letter in the mail and it was also for Fall 2016. Follow up with them to make sure it wasn't an error.

I checked with them and i was delighted to know that i am accepted in fall 2016 cohort. Excited to join u in the group.
