APU ELM Fall 2016

I am applying this year to Azusa Pacific University (Inland Empire Regional Center) this fall to start Fall of 2016. I was surprised that I couldn't find a thread for Fall 2016 Applicants so I decided start one for us. Here we can discuss/ask about our application or interview process or anything else relevant to this.:)

First post on All Nurses! Good luck to everyone here =). I was wondering if any one else reading this forum applied for Fall 2016 and received early admission into the Summer 2016 cohort for FNP. Would be cool to see who else is in the same boat since we will be going to school together.

I know many of you may also be deciding on which school to attend/ waiting to hear back from schools, but I hope this week celebrating Christ's birth will be a blessing for all of us =). God Bless and Merry Christmas!

Hey! So you applied to the fall 2016 class and they contacted you and accepted you into their summer semester? That's awesome. I was hoping that woukd happen for me but I have one more class to take in January. :/ congrats! Hoping for good news soon!

Hi All!

I just wanted to update you that I was called into my interview this past Tuesday . It was so unexpected and last minute. They said they were trying to get a lot of them done before the holidays, so I quickly went home, changed into my interview clothes and drove to the San Bernardino campus. For the sake of details, I did the written prompt first. The question for the written portion was "Imagine if we lived in a world with no rules, how would the world be, and please use your imagination". Afterwards I was called into my Interview with one lady named Joyce (I think that was her name). Anyways, the interview was actually very straight to the point and she asked very basic questions. The interview went well (I think), there was just one question that kinda had me lost in words. The only two things I'm worried about is my written prompt, because I was so nervous, I was just blabbering on in my answer, and she told me to retake Microbiology. It surprised me that she wanted me to retake Micro because I took it at CSUSB for 5 units. I guess the 5 units don't add up? If anything I was expecting her to tell me to take Research methods, because I took research methods for health science, which I was originally told that only research methods for sociology or psychology accepted. After my interview, she said that I should be hearing back from them mid January so wish me luck and the best of luck to all of you!!!

Hey all, does anyone have updates on the main campus's application process? When will final interviews be conducted and when will decisions be made? It seems like each campus is slightly off schedule in terms of when applicants are notified of decisions.

Now Im starting to get real anxious now that January is literally around the corner. I just hope to hear some good news!

Hello everyone! Have you all had interviews by now? I haven't heard from anyone, have not received any mail at all. I'm assuming I'm out based on no contact and we are a day from December ending, but I find it weird that I did not receive a declination mail either. Hopefully I get peace of mind soon. Good luck to all of you that have interviewed or pending interviews. Happy Holidays!

The campus is closed till Jan 3 so maybe you'll hear by then?

Does anyone know when we are supposed to hear back from APU? I interviewed at main campus.

I interviewed at the SD campus and they told me that the admission board would be meeting on the 12th (yesterday) to discuss who would get in. I was hoping for an email this morning, but haven't gotten anything. Cross my fingers we'll hear back soon!
