U.S.A. California

Published

I am currently applying for Azusa Pacific Univsity's Entry Level Master's program for a start date of Fall 2014. The deadline is coming up quickly! If anyone else is applying now, feel free to add!

Hi sweettiffhoney,

I hope so. We can be friends in this program. Do you also get a physical assessment?

Hi emu 3121,

How r you? Have you heard anything from APU? How many schools you apply so far?

Hi emu 3121

How are you? Have you heard anything from APU? How many schools you apply?

Hello everyone! I submitted my application reeeally close to the deadline, I believe on Oct. 30th. I just got a letter saying that my application has been received and is now being "reviewed by the academic department for an admissions decision." Did everyone else get this letter? I have not been contacted for an interview/advising session, which is worrying me :(

Hi jsala013...I think there is always a chance that there will not be anymore interview/advising sessions available if you apply really close to the deadline. I think it even mentions that on the website. I had an interview, but I applied sometime in September. I believe your application will still be reviewed just like any of the others though. I wouldn't worry too much.

@emu3121 Thanks for the input! The interview/advising session was a bit unclear on the admissions website. I thought that we could still be interviewed as long as the application was in by the due date, but maybe not. From what everyone's been saying, it seems as if the main point of the interview/advising session is just to make sure you will be completing the pre-requisites by the time of admission, so hopefully this won't ruin my chances.

Hi everyone

Have you heard anything from the school so far?

Hi everyone! I am applying for fall 2014 as well! My advising appointment is set for November 21, so we'll see how that goes. I am also applying to UCLA and Cal State LA. I haven't taken the TEAS test as of yet though. I am really hoping to get into APU!

Hi, I wanted to find out what class everyone took for the Research Methods course. I am having trouble getting into one because at my CC they require a separate pre-req called Statistics for the Social Sciences. I appreciate the help!

I took my research methods at Mira Costa. They require stats for behavioral sciences before you take it though. i ended up having to take that first. it seems like most of the CCs have that requirement. hope that helps.

Hi All!

I have also applied for ELM at APU for fall 2014 :)

APU is my top pick!

Had my advising session but did not get a physical assessment paper like some of you said in this forum :( Hopefully I still have a chance.

Ah...waiting anxiously with the rest of you... Will probably be sitting outside waiting for the mailman everyday in January haha.

Thank you emu3121 for your advice! Looks like my only option is to take the psychology stats course before the research methods course as well. Good luck to you!
