Hi All
I created this thread to see if anyone else is applying to Azusa‘s 2+2 BSN program, either at their Monrovia location, high desert location, or inland empire location?
I have already sent in my application for the Feb 1st cut off.
Here are my stats
Science GPA: 3.53
Total GPA: 3.79
This is all based on me using a GPA calculator online.
I am not sure if my health care and volunteer experience will help but I did put it on my resume.
Volunteer: 10 months at Loma Linda Hospital
Health Care 10 years ( Caregiver then MA)
I am curious to see how everyone else is feeling, which location y’all are planning to apply to and what your stats are.

I also have a 3.5 cumulative and a 3.8 science. Don’t give up just yet! I’m sure they’re still catching up. Some people got accepted today so I’m sure tomorrow and the rest of the week they will send out communication. Have you spoken to your rep?

I was half way thru anatomy when COVID happened so we transitioned to online so that was a little complicated. I received a B in that class, a B in Microbiology, a B in Chem and an A in Physio. So my GPA in Science is a 3.24 and all the other classes are A's. I have not spoken to my rep yet, not sure what to ask him.

Hi Eileen, I still haven’t heard anything. My GPA is 3.88 so I don’t know what they are judging me on. I asked my rep and she said the decision letters are still given out til next week. I asked her if she meant denial letters but she gave me a very general answer. So I guess I failed. I’m kinda done with their vague process. I’ll focus on taking TEAS test. You should also consider West Coast or Arizona nursing college also.

I totally agree. Now that I think of it, my resume is probably too long. I didn’t even think to shorten it at all. I included all 14 years of experience so not sure how to shorten my resume. I have a feeling I didn’t get in. ? I also applied to West Coast as a back up.

@NurseC824 How long was your resume?

My resume was only a page long (I learned a long time ago that people lose interest after one or two pages so it's really important to leave it as short as possible). I worked on my Nursing Personal Statement for about two months. I really made sure to have my friends proofread and made sure I was mentioning really important things that made me stand out from others. I'm also a Virgo, so there's that. Haha. My recommendations were from former instructors (both have their MSN in Nursing) and I knew that they would give me a really strong recommendation. I know that they look at the whole picture, not just grades. I really hope this helps, and I hope you guys get some good news soon! Let me know if you guys need any help. Here's my email: [email protected]
Good luck!

They're very vague with their reasonings for denial. Acceptances are not over! Don't give up. (:
