Hi I was wondering how competitive azusa is and is there a waitlist? I love the school just by the research ive done and looked for on here. If you dont mind me asking what was your GPA like and what are there pre-requisites? I looked on their website but it talks about high school chemistry and SAT's that confused me a bit?...im a college student not high school soo please respond to my question, it would be greatly appreciated!:redbeathe

APUAlyssa,
I was also accepted into Azusa: San Diego's EENAP program. I've heard from one friend that the grad programs at Azusa are pretty good. I know that's very generic and that's pretty much all I've heard of and I'm trying to find out if the nursing programs are good or not, and of their reputation. I'd appreciate anyone's feedback.
lilcristal831,
I think Azusa is fairly open to applicants who pass the pre-reqs with a decent grade (B-A range, maybe even one or two C's). From what I understand, they accept on a rolling basis, so seats fill up fast. I didn't have the strongest GPA (more B's than A's). But I think my volunteer experience and personal statements helped me. Good luck!
Anyone know about Azusa's Reputation??
Thanks.

APU's reputation is amazing for Southern California. I love the school too death and would never want to go anywhere else. BUT....lol it is really REALLY competitive. I've applied to the nursing program twice and have been rejected. 3rd times the charm hopefully.
The only thing I have to say is have a very good GPA and get A's in all science classes.

Hey-
How is the program treating you now? You started in September? I would love to hear your thoughts on Azusa. I just applied and I am just waiting to hear back. I was told that I need more science courses on my transcripts before the board will even look at my application. I am really hoping to get in next year. I just have a few more classes to take after this semester.
Please let me know how you like the school.
Hope all is going well with your studies!

I'm starting there this Fall!!!
cmr48.... So nice to know someone else is starting this fall with me. Do you live in the San Diego area? Have you heard anything about how much the total cost of the program. All I could find out was the Bsn portion only.
No, I live in northern California...I'll be looking for a place in the near future and go down there mid-August. Do you live in SD already? I'm very anxious and excited to start the program. I haven't seen any costs beyond the BSN either.
I heard that we will be receiving information about orientation and what else we need to do in preparation for the program the 1st or 2nd week of June from Renee Dierking. I am also trying to find a place closer to the San Diego regional center. Things are pretty expensive though, so I don't know if I can afford to live in Mission Valley where our classes are being held.
Yeah, I definitely have noticed how pricey the area is...I don't really have much of a choice though. Have you talked to anyone else who is starting this Fall? I'm pretty sure the class size is only in the lower 20's. Do you know of any surrounding areas outside of Mission Valley that I should probably steer clear from, or are most of the areas ok down there?
