So who is applying for nursing school this year? And where are you applying?

I am applying to Concord Tech, Manchester Community(if they ever stop fighting with me) and Great Bay.

GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALL!:)

i did got to a manch. info session and the lady said that they do have a waitlist and most years usually go right through the waitlist.. which seemed surprising but thats what she said!

ready for some good news!!

i finally broke down and emailed the manchester nursing admissions advisor and asked if she had any clue as to when we would here and this is what she said!

hi danielle-

there are so many files to review and we try very hard to make sure that we don't make any errors that might affect someone's admission. the good news is that your wait is almost over. you will be hearing something in a few days.

best,

jacquie

Poor Jacquie! She was so patient with me during the application process. I give her a 2 thumbs up! Good to hear the wait is almost over :)

Well now its a wait for MCC and NHTI. not even a waitlist seat for GBCC :crying2:

No worries SLong, it seems as though GBCC is the hardesnt to get into to...the others seem much more "forgiving" i guess! Keep your head high, I have a good feeling about you getting in :) and if you read my earlier post you'll see manchester letters are going out any day now!!

Good luck Slong!

I didn't get in at Great Bay either :( Still waiting for Manchester.

Sometimes I think these people are just sitting in the dark with blind folds on picking at random

The more feedback I receive the more I question the process. I have classmates with experience in healthcare who are much more qualified than I am who have been waitlisted or denied, while I simply had the good fortune to test well on an entrance exam. My entry into the program comes at someone else's expense.

Don't feel bad. Take your opportunity. I believe in things happen for a reason...it's just not my time yet. :) Good Luck!

It's not like I feel horrible, and I have paid my deposit. For some reason I believed that those of us who had completed A+P were nearly shoe-ins, and that's apparently far from the case this year. I had somehow pictured moving on as a group, not as individuals.

Sounds like we'd all like to be a fly on the wall in that room huh? It would be great if they did a meeting for the people that didn't get in where they could tell us where we need to concentrate our efforts to improve our application. I want to get into this program so badly but have no idea what I can do to ensure I don't have to wait another year. I have every course done in the program except for Nursing 1-4. There isn't another class for me to take while I wait unless I start retaking them :) It's frustrating and makes you feel powerless to improve your situation.

I totally understand! You're at the mercy of someone else!
