I'm surprised UC- Denver responded to anyone's email. I sent 2 separate emails, 10 days apart from one another, starting on 10/1 and has yet to receive a response. I left 2 VM; both calls were returned. But interesting they were always toward the end of business hours, on a Friday night. A student actually called me at 8PM on a Friday night, and couldn't even answer my question regarding whether they were able to check if my AP scores were sent. In fact, each time she talked to me, she couldn't even remember who I was and needed me to remind her of my first and last name. I read in a previous thread that if an item is missing, they would contact you. But I didn't see the AP scores from CollegeBoard updated on my application status. If the school is running really behind on reviewing applications, it should have been a courtesy to update the applicants. Just saying!
I got the same email as Karlas at 3pm 10/28. They are still working through applications and "no one has been selected for interviews/admission at this time." If anyone wants to read the email, message me. And Thaigrrr,I haven't call or emailed them at all. You might have to check your spam. It could be a possibility.
I wouldn't read too much into not getting an email, they said they have not selected anyone for interviews yet. It sounds like they haven't even looked at all the applications yet. Here is the email:
Hello Prospective Applicants,
We hope you are all doing well and enjoying your Fall as we transition into Winter. We wanted to provide you with information and dates moving forward regarding admission to the College of Nursing’s traditional program that begins Summer 2014.
First, we are still working through applications. Many applicants applied within the last two weeks of the application cycle and due to this large influx of applications we are still processing new applications that were submitted through 10/15/2013. Additionally, we will be re-reviewing applications that were initially incomplete (i.e. missing a transcript or transcripts) and updating their statuses. We will ONLY be updating your status with what we have received as of the deadline.
We anticipate that all checklists will be correctly reflected by November 4. We will send out an email to the applicants that are truly incomplete and reference you to your checklist for status updates so that you can know what we did receive by the deadline (and what was missing).
Interview Day for the traditional program is currently scheduled for November 19th, 2013. This has been posted on our website since September. We anticipate on informing applicants via email to expedite the process and so that you can make the necessary arrangements if applicable. We will not be able to discuss any additional information regarding Interview Day (i.e. times, personal requests, exceptions) until interview selections have been made. Please do not inquire prior to being selected for an interview to discuss your specific situation.
We ask that all applicants remain patient and professional during this time. We are receiving over 50 voicemails a day regarding applications and questions concerning transcripts. Please understand that the more calls we field the more time is taken away from processing and reviewing applications. Rest assured that if we received your materials by the deadline, you will be updated and reviewed accordingly.
Please do not respond to this email or call us with specific questions pertaining to your file at this time. Our goal is to ensure that you have the information necessary to plan for Interview Day and so that you know where we currently stand. No one has been selected for interviews/admission at this time. We will be more than happy to field specific application questions and schedule phone appointments for any applicants who are not admitted after we have completed the review for this application cycle.
Looks like they sent that email out in batches or realized that not everyone received one. I just received it! At least I can rest easy now knowing that my application exists in their system.
This sort of scares me. With the influx of the applications and having to review so many past the deadline, this just makes it even more competitive! I know some of us aren't going to get the interview considering there are only a handful of us even on this board but I hope and wish everyone good luck. The timing isn't perfect for me to start school in the Summer so I am already mentally prepared if I don't get too far. There is always next year! And from the thread I referenced on the initial post, there seems to be some 2nd and 3rd timers applying. Good luck everyone!

Just got an email saying they are still processing applications and will notify people"soon" about interviews. Guess they received alot of apps
