Hello Everyone,
I recently submitted my application to the traditional BSN program at UC Denver starting Summer 2016. I thought it would be a good idea to start a thread so that if anyone else is in the same boat we can give each other moral support, advice, etc.
I got an email back notifying me that the interviews are scheduled for Monday, November 16th. It also said we should expect to hear by November 2nd if we have been asked back for an interview. So nervous but also excited!
For anyone who has already gone through the process, I am so curious as to what the interview is like. So any helpful tips of information would be so appreciated!
Pretty disappointing but slightly better than an all out rejection, I suppose.
I keep trying to tell myself that, but its not working so well I wonder how many people get accepted off the waitlist? I looked at past threads but didn't see anything useful. Sigh, I guess another 5.5 months of waiting...
Keep your head up, guys!! Hard work and patience pays off, trust me. I was waitlisted last year and did not get in ( do not let that discourage you). However, i do know quite a few people who were accepted off of the wait list. I used the extra year to volunteer, work more in healthcare, and got my pharmacy tech license. Persistency is key.
On the other note, I was accepted to the South Campus! Let me know who else was accepted to South Campus :)

I was accepted to the South Campus too, although I'm not positive I'll accept. Any chance you're looking for potential roommates?
As for the wait list, I haven't applied to this program before, but I was wait listed for the CU Denver accelerated program, and received a phone call literally the day after the traditional program interview day offering me a spot (which was 2.5 months after they sent out initial acceptances). I turned it down, but just know that they do keep accepting students long after the initial emails.
I'm accepted to anschutz! I'm so excited. It's been a very hard road for me, but it's a blessing to be in this moment now. I want to tell every single one of you, accepted or not, that every single long time nurse I have ever talked to said that where you get your degree does NOT matter. It's about the skills you learn and practice. If you don't get accepted here, there are thousands of other excellent schools you will learn to become a magnificent nurse in. Do NOT give up your dream!
