How Do You Apply To Out-of-state Colleges?

The same way you apply to in-state colleges. You fill out an application and follow their directions to send your transcripts and any other material they are requesting from you. The major difference isn't usually about the application. It's that many colleges charge higher tuition fees for out of state students, especially if you are attending a state supported university outside your own state of residence.

I concur! The tuition might be a bit higher, but applying is usually the same.

True, usually some other out-of-state fees may apply as well.

Of course if you are applying to a private college or university, the tuition is the same for in-state and out of state residents. (Still high, but there is more opportunity to get financial aid in some cases.) Good luck.
