Applying This Winter, Nervous!

Published

Hi guys!

I have been doing a good bit of research and completing my pre-requisites over the past year. I have a Bachelors of Science in Studio Art from James Madison University 2013.

I am worried about GPA in regards to my applications. I was wondering if anyone could shed some insight onto what GPAs tended to be like for the following CT schools **All Accelerated Programs**:

-Uconn

-Quinnipiac

-Southern

I've calculated out what my GPA with the pre reqs would be at each school:

Southern: 3.65

QU: 3.61

Uconn: 3.70 or 3.78 depending on if I get an A in Genetics this Fall!

My JMU GPA was a 3.3 something (don't have transcripts on hand at the moment but primarily concerned with pre-req GPA)

Any additional light you could shed would be great :)

Good luck from CT as well. Applying for the ADN doubt my B.S. in Psych will help much. Super nervous as the ADN programs are RIDICULOUSLY competitive. I'll be 30 in the Summer want to start school before I am 31.

Had one friend go through the ABSN at Southern. This was a few years back around the start of the program and heard it's been competitive as the years went on due to the cost.

Have a friend finishing the UCONN ABSN program I'll have to ask what their GPA was prior to being accepted.

Don't know much about Quinnipiac see a lot on their students doing clinical where I work. I heard Fairfield University ABSN doesn't solely weigh GPA.
