Hi,
Is anyone else applying to this program? The application deadline is July 15. I am planning to apply - now trying to figure out how I can take the prerequisites in time!

I think they're switching to the TEAS V & they're also looking at your pre-req grades & I think there's an essay too. Also, they're taking into account work experience & if you've taken classes at QC. It seems to be more comprehensive than the way they do it now. The only drawback would be that you have to study for the TEAS, but I'd rather have to study than take the accuplacer that seems to have limited 'studying' materials available.
Keep in mind that these admissions changes would go into effect for the cohort applying for the Full time Fall 2013 program. So anyone applying for the part time program starting in January 2013 is still only going to have to take the Accuplacer.
Oh, nice to see all the activity on this thread. I'm applying to Bunker Hill and Quincy for a Jan 2013 start. I am taking A&P and Chemistry right now, busy busy! And I will try to knock out a couple more courses in the fall. I think Bunker Hill is my 1st choice because it's closer to me and also although I could do either, I'd prefer to do a daytime program. The only drawback with Bunker Hill is that darned TEAS - ugh - not looking forward to that! Has anyone here taken it yet and how did you do?

Good luck with Bunker Hill. Quincy is my first choice because of the part-time program and proximity to my house. I have only taken the Reading portion of TEAS once for massasoit and got an 85.7% adjusted score. I don't think TEAS is that bad depending on your strengths. It is time consuming because there are 4 subjects to study for, and it's annoying if you're already busy with work or classes.
Have you taken the accuplacer yet and how did you do? I submitted my application last week so I'm just waiting and really hoping to get in.
Ok my app is in!! I got a 120 on reading, 120 on sentences, and 113 on math. Bunker Hill is actually my 1st choice but their deadline isn't until Aug 31 so I am not sure how the timing will all work out. Either way though, I am excited and hopeful about moving forward with my goal!
Awesome scores!
Great scores! I had the same reaction when I got that letter too! lol@umbdude:I did end up taking it again, so I applied with a 112 in reading, 117 in sentence, & 113 in math. I got a letter today acknowledging that I had applied, which kind of freaked me out at first haha. We'll see! Good luck to you!!!

Thanks aj207. I wouldn't have found that information myself. The point system makes a lot of sense though but definite requires a lot more work to apply.
