I'm a student at a US university and I'm trying to get my GPA up in time to apply for nursing programs next year. I really would hope to get into my school's program since I really don't want to have to leave after being here for 2 years. However, i don't want to remain in the US for my life. I plan to leave and live elsewhere and was thinking it'd be good to go to school elsewhere to see if I enjoy the atmosphere.
However, I know tuition is expensive so I must ask: Will it be worth my time applying to Canadian schools? Is the competition worse than in the US? If not, would I be better off staying in the US, then finding jobs in Canada? Thanks

Tuition is double at most schools for foreign students.
You'll need a visa.
The programmes are very competitive and must be applied to yearly, there is no "once you meet acceptance requirements you wait it out" type lists.
Do you have any idea of where in Canada that you would think about applying?

Also be aware that coming to Canada on a student visa does not mean you can stay and work. You would still have to return home once school is completed. Plus you may have to complete the prerequisites up here before applying.
I was aware that I'd probably have to return home and do other things to become a citizen of Canada. I want to get a feel for the country. If I have to complete the pre-reqs up there before applying, then I'd be better off for sure here.

When applying for Undergrad, i was looking at British Columbia, but I'm not sure as of now. I looked at the tuition rates and they are quite high. Thank you.
