Applying to hospital w/ psych ward history

Hi, there is something I was wondering about and was wondering if anyone could help me. I'd appreciate it if people were not too judgmental, as this was stuff I did in my past when I was young, naive and immature, and I'm a different person now and wouldn't do the same again.

I was just recently placed on the Nurse Aide registry in my state and am currently in the process of looking for employment. I've applied to a few hospitals and nursing homes in my area, however, there is one hospital that has open positions but I am unsure if it's a good idea to apply due to my past history with them. A few years back, I spent time in their psych ward due to drug abuse, suicide attempts and other mental health issues. Does that mean that I should avoid ever applying there and that doing so could possibly land me in trouble with the board, or that I should give it a try anyway and the worst that could happen is that I wouldn't get a job there? I'd also like to add before anyone says anything, that I do not abuse drugs nor am I suicidal anymore and have received help and am currently medicated for my mental health problems.

There's no way that your past stay there and the reasons for it would keep them from hiring you, I also doubt that they would even remember that. Not in a bad way, but just remember that they get so many patients.

I would apply if I were you, and just keep the fact that you were there before to yourself. It's none of their business, truth be told. You have nothing to worry about.

I just wouldn't apply to their psych ward. I don't know how big this hospital is, but if it's like most I really wouldn't worry about having been a previous patient there.

I think that you should apply and the worst they could do is just not hire you. I am not sure if your past information would come up if you were to apply there
