Hello All,
I am applying for Spring 2010 admission at Gordon. When is the application deadline? I do not need to take any classes at Gordon so I applied for Spring 2010 admission. I have not received an acceptance letter and that has been two months ago. When I check the website, it says that all of my information has been received, but my transcripts have not been evaluated or at least no grades have been posted for me as of yet. I need to apply to the program and take the TEAS, but I know that time is running out. I am beginning to get very frustrated! Can anyone help me or give me a name of someone that can help speed this process along? Thanks so much!:wink2:
No I am not taking any classes at Gordon now, but I have signed up for two classes for the fall quarter for my back up plan. Gordon did not transfer my PSYC 2103 because I took it at Georgia Southern and there the course I took, EDUF 2121, was only worth 2 credit hours. I am going to CLEP it so I don't have to pay a lot of money to take the class again. If you don't mind me asking, how did you do on the TEAS? Good luck!
Thank you Emile. Please let us know what the deal is. Ask about the point system if you can. Yes skeeton21 I am applying for Spring 2010. I took my sciences at Clayton State and received my first degree from Clayton State. I made an 87 on the TEAS. 81 is good! I wouldn't worry about it. Good luck everyone!
HI Guys,
Sorry I was in such a hurry I forgot to post the time it was at 2. Well this was another situation where everyone decided to stay mum...They refused to make absolutely any reference to the admission process:banghead:. the They only focused on GCANS which is the Gordon College Association of Nursing. They were basically trying to recruit students to join, sign up for blood drives, buy T-shirts, participate in fund raising and volunteering events. They said it could ,not guaranteed, work in your favor during the admissions process especially for those who have no nursing experience.I was somewhat disappointed. It's like they want you to do all these things but won't even give you a clue about anything.Personally , this association is more beneficial once accepted into the program not as a pre nursing student.
Oh my goodness! I agree Emile that it sounded like a waste of time. When I went to GPC's info session, they at least told you the scores you needed to be competitive as well as Georgia Baptist. What is the point of signing up with GCANS if you don't even know if you will get into the program? You are supposed to volunteer for blood drives and all of that other jazz, but if you don't get into the program it seems like kind of a moot point, especially if you have to drive a long distance. I just don't know about Gordon College. They make me so sad. I guess we will still have to just wait.

I know how you feel. No one has really been able to give us a definitive answer because Gordon bases their admission on a point system. I think if you are lacking one area you can make up for it with other areas whether it be gpa, TEAS, completion of core, health care experience. If someone can get a breakdown of the points system that would be marvelous!
