Applying for Gordon Nursing Program Spring 2010

Hello All,

I am applying for Spring 2010 admission at Gordon. When is the application deadline? I do not need to take any classes at Gordon so I applied for Spring 2010 admission. I have not received an acceptance letter and that has been two months ago. When I check the website, it says that all of my information has been received, but my transcripts have not been evaluated or at least no grades have been posted for me as of yet. I need to apply to the program and take the TEAS, but I know that time is running out. I am beginning to get very frustrated! Can anyone help me or give me a name of someone that can help speed this process along? Thanks so much!:wink2:

Can anyone tell me how many semester hours are required to complete the Associate of Science degree in Nursing at Gordon College. I am trying to figure out how many classes I need to apply to the approved electives section of the core curriculum. Thanks in advance.

Hey. You know, I never noticed that the website does not list a credit number. But the core that you need: English 1101 & 1102 (3 credits each), Math 1001 or a higher Math course (3 credits), A&P I&II (4 credits each) Microbiology (4 credits), an "APPROVED" elective worth 3 credits. (Make sure you have one of their approved electives because I actually had 3 'extra' courses but they were not one of "their" listed ones. That is all of the core requirements. The core requirements for the nursing program is totally different from all other program core requirements. You can find this information if you go to the Gordon homepage and click on 'Degree Programs', 'ASN degree', then 'curriculum'. I hope this helps.

Who else is applying for Spring 2010 admission at Gordon?

Hey!!!

I am happy to say that I won't be applying to the nursing program. Instead and as a matter of fact, I just completed my third nursing exam since my enrollment with Excelsior College on 08/06/09. I passed the 3rd one on 08/31/09 with a B. So if all goes as planned, I will be done with Excelsiors program by the time fall semester ends with Gordon. I'm still taking courses with Gordon right now. I'm in Abnormal Psych and Arts 1101. So far, all of my credits will fulfill all but 3 electives for Excelsiors BSN degree. I'M SO HAPPY!!!! Are you presently attending classes at Gordon now?

Congratulations! I am not taking any classes at Gordon. I only have PSYC 2103 to take because it was th only core course that didn't transfer. I will be waiting it out to see if I made it in for the Spring. Good luck in your program.

Thank you and good luck to you as well! I'm taking Psych 2165 (Abnormal Psych) from right now. Only 4 exams which includes the final!!! Again, good luck to you!
