Applying for fall 2011 admission

Published

Is there anyone out there besides myself trying to apply for fall admission at Georgia State University, Clayton State, or Georgia Perimeter college. By looking at past threads I'm unsure of what te schools are looking for as far as your grades, TEAS score, and pre-reqs. Different years people seem to be getting in with low scores and high gpa's; then other times it seems just the opposite. Anyone in any of these programs now and can speak from experience?? Any response will be greatly appreciated:idea:

Hello adorable42181, I am also applying for Georgia State and Georgia Perimeter College. However, I have not taken my TEAS yet and planning on taking it in Jan. Have you submitted your complete application to Georgia State yet? On Georgia State website there is a list of average GPAs for each semester. The GPA seems to be increasing slightly every semester . I remember seeing something like 3.6 for Fall. I cannot remember on the top of my head. Hope this helps and Good Luck!

Thanks hlee, I looked at that also, but then I saw a previous post that showed you the point system Georgia state used for entrance into the program and It made me a little nervous because I have not completed my Microbiology and Chem II. No I have not yet applied I am actually doing it first thing in the morning I already have my recommendations, just trying to get my essay together. My application for GPC is complete, I took the TEAS earlier this month and scored an 82% not sure if I should take it over. Really nervous because again previous post had TEAS scores in the low and mid 90's, thats why I was hoping some of there nursing students would chime in on this discussion. But thanks for the reply and good luck on your TEAS, please keep me updated on how your test goes and also how the application process is coming along. Oh, yeah have you completed your app. for GSU?

Hi adorable42181, where did you see the point system for Georgia State? That would be very helpful. I also did not take microbiology yet. Your TEAS score seems competitive!! Good job! I think if you have a competitive GPA you'll be good. =) Did you study for a long time to take the TEAS. I will be taking it next month and have not started studying yet. I just feel so overwhelmed by all the application process. Are those three schools you listed before the only schools you are applying to? I haven't finish my application for GSU. I have to pick up my recommendation letter in January then I will send it in.

It was in a previous post, I believe it was the one that said GSU fall 2010, it was posted by bdanders. Yes I studied with the ATI book and also took the online assessments. The part I thought I would do horrible on I did great on. Have you already been accepted to the college itself? Yes those are the only three I am applying too, the others I looked at I needed to be through with some of the classes I am taking this semester in order to apply.

I am in the process of applying for the college itself. I have one question, did you take the TEAS at GSU? I see on ATI testing.com that the test for GSU states it is only for GSU applicants. I am wondering, If I sign up for this test will the scores only be good for GSU? I noticed GPC has their TEAS V and KSU administers their TEAS V as well. I am afraid if I take it at GSU or GPC or KSU that the scores will only be good for that particular school and it will use up one of my chances for TEAS V.( I believe we have two attempts a year) Thanks!

No I actually did my test at GPC, I spoke to someone at ATI and they told me that once my score was on there system I could transfer it anywhere for $22. Not sure about the GSU one though, maybe u should call the school Monday and ask? I applied to the school today I'm drop off my transcripts hopefully monday.

Okay. Thanks for the information! I will probably call KSU GSU and GPC. I'm gonna submit my application for the college itself probably tonight. Have a happy new year! =)

Ok, keep in touch let me know how the test goes. Im keep trying to locate students from these schools to see if we can get a little more info. Happy New Year to you also.

What did you score on TEAS and what is your GPA?

My TEAS score was an 82 and my GPA is 3.5

What about your science and math GPA?

I was told that Clayton State do a point system...highest is 300 points. You can get 100 points for your overall GPA, 100 points for your science and math GPA, and 100 points for your TEAS!
