applying for charity son for pn fall 2014

Excited and nervous @ the same time! How many others out there applying for the lpn program @ charity son?

Yep! Speak it into existence. I actually told my job I was leaving in August. I'm just going to wait until after orientation to give a date. I heard Monday and Friday the first few weeks of the semester then MWF in mid October. This waiting period is going to kill me lol. Tomorrow's the last day to turn in apps. I wonder if anyone else on here has applied.

I know right. I used to come on here to see what cut off scores were for RN and all just to see what I should do! So I was like well now I'm doing LPN and I'm sure there's people on here for the upcoming class. Yes girl, have to speak it into existence. I plan on trying to work as much as I can while doing school.

I plan on working also. I'm currently a Medical Assistant. I work at a busy clinic but we are closed on weekends. So I have to find something that will work with my school schedule. Those semesters are going to fly by quickly. I can't wait to start

Hi! This will be my second time applying. I turned my application in Tuesday.... I'm praying I get in this time. Good luck to everyone! :-)

Hi! If you don't mind me asking. What was your profile score last year? Did you have everything completed?

My profile score was a 65. I was in enrolled in nutrition during summer 2013 when I applied. I didn't get in because I hadn't completed it. The cut off last year was a 80. However, now that they will be having a class at Sidney Collier along with the Blaire Dr campus, which is a hugh plus....means they will be accepting more students this time around.

I'm at a 70. I'm enrolled in the nutrition course for the summer. I took nutrition at Nunez this semester and made an A, but they won't accept it. I was thinking since they have 2 sites, It will leave room for those who haven't completed it yet. Did you talk to anyone at charity about it? That's one question I forgot to ask.

No I haven't asked anyone, but it only males sense. In the past few years, they were accepting less students due to the budget cuts and because they stopped accepting for spring. I don't know if they will bring back the spring class, but with a new school you have a greater chance. Last class was maybe 50- 60 students, but that was due to having one school. One of my friends didn't get in with a 75 and another got in with an 80. All we can do is pray, pray, pray!!!

That's all we can do. Leave it the hands of God! He will work it out. I know the lady said they were accepting 100 this year. So I'm guessing 50/50.

Yep! You're oh so right. Keep me posted when you hear anything back or new haha

I've read threads from the previous year's class and I'm guessing we were told by mid July because those who get accepted will get an email around June 17-19th. Those who are denied will receive a letter by July stating the reason. I hear orientation is mid July. We should know something in the next 2 weeks or so. Fingers crossed!
