Applied for Sept 2021 intake RPN with highschool U marks - QUESTIONS!!

Published

Hi Everyone,

I've recently applied for the rpn programs at the following colleges

  • George Brown
  • Sheridan college
  • Seneca
  • Centennial
  • Humber

I've tried a few times for rpn but I either withdrew my application or didn't get accepted with my marks. I really felt like giving up cause I've completed highschool, I've upgraded my marks and now I'm an adult with adult bills and a job LOL so I don't have time BUT I MADE THE TIME.

I actually intended on applying for RN but soon realized that maybe I can give RPN a try again.

My question for anyone reading this is:

Will I be marked different as I've upgraded my marks to highschool University marks? As their prerequisites are college ?

ENG4U 78, MDM4U 76, ENG3U 72, SBI4U 75, SCH4U 73

Has anyone done this?

Also, has anyone received their acceptance?

I think given coronavirus I believe they wouldn't right now. However, I met all my requirements so I wasn't asked to do any admission test.

Hope this helps and congrats on your offer!

Thank you!

Good luck on your acceptance too! ?

I would suggest the part time program at Seneca. You will be taking courses at their Don Mills campus and it really helped me a lot. Your classes will be at night between 6-10 pm (never stayed there until 10, always left between 8:30-9:30 pm). It's really up to you on how many courses you want to take and you're not forced to take all courses in one semester. I am truly grateful for this program as I was able to balance work and school together.

I wanted to ask was your classes online or in-person? and How was the placements they place you?

I was in the Practical Nursing at Seneca College from 2014-2016. Most of the classes were in-class and you can take certain courses online.

Placements I had were as follows:

2nd semester- Long Term Care

3rd semester- Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre

4th semester- St. Joseph's Hospital (downtown Toronto)- Medicine/Nephrology

Consolidation- Humber River Hospital

Sorry, I forgot to ask was the placement the school will look for you or you have to look for the placements yourself?

Hey there!

I'm still waiting for humber, geroge brown, and centennial college.

I received an offer for seneca for Sept 2021.

Hang in there, I've been reading forums of people who got early acceptance because they applied in Nov, Dec of last year.

I am glad that you're having luck finding other individuals. LOL, I have been actively searching on reddit and other platforms to try and connect with my fellow nursing team for September 2021 @ Seneca college

LOL! I hope they'll create the facebook group soon. I'm in the general one and most of the people have graduated already.
