2023 Applications to UBC and UVic NP program

Hi all,

I've applied to both programs to start in September 2023, and wanting to commiserate with anyone else who is anxiously waiting to hear. Looking back at previous years I'm feeling a bit discouraged since the admissions average seemed to be higher than I had been told by colleagues. Anyhow, let me know if you also applied and when you hear back from schools! Wishing you all the best of luck.

no, it did't say "admission decision". There's just a new notification says "academic hold", and the time stamp came up precisely last night midnight

I also see this notification, I wonder if it means anything or just a glitch

I got an email from UNBC today saying I had documents missing and my applications is now closed. So did a friend of mine. I have no idea how there could have been documents missing and now I'm just devastated.

wow this seems incredibly unfair ? hopefully you can get some answers as to how that could happen

LOL let's hope it's not a glitch. I also found something really interesting on their website.

See the "Coming soon" section on this page: https://www2.unbc.ca/admissions/graduate/unbc-email-and-account-information

And also on this page https://www2.unbc.ca/financial-aid/graduate-awards-overview, it basically says if you're not admitted , you can't see the Awards and Financial Aid section in your portal

I'm so sorry to hear this JennPa...This seems so odd! Can you ask them what the missing documents are and appeal this decision?

thanks. I've tried emailing and phoning and haven't heard anything back.  I would love to know for next year at least.

Is it just seeing the awards section? Because I can see it, but when you click on it it asked for another login.
