2023 Applications to UBC and UVic NP program

Hi all,

I've applied to both programs to start in September 2023, and wanting to commiserate with anyone else who is anxiously waiting to hear. Looking back at previous years I'm feeling a bit discouraged since the admissions average seemed to be higher than I had been told by colleagues. Anyhow, let me know if you also applied and when you hear back from schools! Wishing you all the best of luck.

Just the email they sent a few weeks ago about when they would notify about their decisions.

I think they mentioned April 21 at the latest if you applied before Jan 15

Nope.  I emailed them last week.  They said they had some decisions in that they would be communicating to the applicants this week and the have further decisions that will come in the following weeks. So no new info

really.

Has anyone on the UVic waitlist got an update today since the deadline for initial offers was last week?

Check in your application status. I found out I got in a couple days before I got email.   Application status should change to recommended by department or provisionally admitted.

I have definitely been checking more often too but no update yet!

I emailed today and they said still no decisions. Incredibly frustrating as other program deadlines have passed.

I ended up emailing UVIC today to check in and they said there has been no movement to the waitlist. This doesn't make sense to me as some people have indicated they've accepted other offers ?‍♀️

No that doesn't make any sense at all! So what they are saying is every single person offered a seat has accepted? OR have they just not started going down the waitlist yet for the seats that have opened up.

I was told I'm number 3, how about you?

I also called them yesterday to try & get some clarity on how the process works but they haven't got back to me yet.
