Good Afternoon!
So I'm graduating this May and I have been applying to my local hospitals. One in particular caught my attention because it is a magnet hospital. I applied on 02/10. My application status changed to "Your application is under review" on 02/11. I haven't heard anything back yet so I'm not sure what to think. Am I being too impatient or is this a bad sign?
Thanks!

In my experience, you are being impatient. Usually, again, my experience, the job is left open for a preplanned period of time (say 2-4 weeks) and then the team starts the process of reviewing applications and then interviews of those with which there is an interest. Good luck!

This time of year, hospitals are receiving hundreds of applications from graduating seniors (at least in my area). I wouldn't be surprised if it took a month or more. Waiting is the worst, but try to be patient. Also, no news at this point is probably good news...I would take it to mean that they haven't already ruled you out.

You are being a little impatient yes. No being under review is not a bad sign. As for the time frame for them calling you back it varies, of course. I have had hospital systems mark my app under review and then call me the next day or two days later, and then Ive had others call me 2-3wks later, and then there have been a few times, where it says under review for a month or so and then I get the "thank you but we have gone with another candidate" etc email.
Good luck to you though, just be patient!!!

Kinda sounds like your app is on the back burner for now. You still haven't graduated or taken boards yet. An offer this early may be a but premature on the hospitals part. Just wait it out, if possible keep in touch with HR as you get closer to graduation. Good luck [emoji1]
I dont see where you get that an app being marked "under review" is a back burner thing. More often than not, when my app status was changed to that statement, I've been called for an interview in 1-3 days, so it is my understanding that the actual HR staff was reviewing my app i further detail, or they had sent it over to the hiring managers to review, after the computer "keyword checker" system, showed that I met the minimum qualifications.
The OP hasn't graduated yet, so there is no rush for the hospital to do anything right now. That was my point. The fact that the app is still under review is a good thing.
Gotcha! 😀
