I know that it's early, but I really wanted to get a jump on this. I have read the past two years' threads from start to finish and have seen the amazing support given by everyone involved. Considering how competitive it is for nursing school admission, it is extremely informative and heart-warming. I will be applying to all the schools in the Portland/Salem area to which I will qualify. This next year is going to be rough, but ever since I started on this journey I have loved every moment.
A little about me:
Again, I know this is early, but I look forward to seeing the responses from everyone!
I have been accepted at both CCC and fall term MHCC. I'm not sure where I will decide (still waiting to hear from PDX OHSU to make my decision). So someone will move up on the wait list at one of those schools. I'll post here when I get it all figured out. I had 54 pts going into CCC for those who are trying to figure out where they stand and feel like I had a strong essay and interview with lots of relevant work experiences to draw from for both the interview and the essay.
This is my second year applying. Last year I had not finished my prereqs and although I had a CNA license, I was not working. This year I applied with all classes done with A's and CNA2 experience in a hospital. So those of you who are not hearing back from the schools, do not be discouraged -- there are ways to strengthen your application for next year!!
I am pretty sure you are notified reguardless but not positive. Just so you can see where I was I had 54 points (I think I had 3 discretionary points for a foreign language). I had no CNA but I had volunteer with patient contact (which I think only PCC cared about) and I had all A's for prereqs. This was my first time applying so I don't know exactly how it all lays out but those are my specs so people can compare and contrast.

No they did not. They also said not to inquire about your spot on the wait list either so..... still in the dark.
