Applicants to Los Angeles County College of Nursing and Allied Health - Spring 2018

Published

Hello everyone! Today I attended the orientation session for the Spring 2018 semester at LAC -CONAH (Los Angeles County - College Of Nursing and Allied Health. Lots of good info/tips were given. I have submitted my application already. This time around, they are taking applications online. I previously applied to the Fall 2017 semester, but did not make it in because one of my transcripts arrived late. Hopefully, I will make it in this second time. Anyone else out there who is applying to next year's generic session? How about the bridge (LVN to RN) program? I took the ATI TEAS with them this year, if you have any questions, feel free to ask. Here goes the long-waiting-to-hear-if-I-make-it-in all over again! Gotta love it

Hello, I know this is an old forum. But I was wondering if anybody can just state whether this school is great? Or if theres any issues? etc... I just got accepted into the Spring 2022 program and im nervous about whats to come. Was wondering how yall are doing so far? and if the program is tough? Also if there is any advice to give, id surely take it. THANK YOU and I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving week.

Hello,

This school is the best out there. Alumni here, Class of 2020. Pandemic class. Currently working as a Critical Care Nurse. The experiences at County made me a strong nurse so much so I train new grads on my unit.

The program is tough but it is not impossible. You get clinical experience right out of the gate at DHS facilities. This is good for networking when you graduate as you can meet nurse managers firsthand. The tuition is reasonable with financial aid available. The fact that you were accepted means you're strong academically. Lots of support and guidance from the instructors here. If you're looking to be a strong, competent nurse, Go County.

Congrats Brybry94 for the acceptance. I did my ADN program @CONAH and RN-BSN program @CSU. The answer to your Q is that the school is not bad, strong in clinical rotations and hand-on experiences. A lot readings and clinical worksheets assigned but if you do your HW, it’s manageable. Staff are full of diversities with different teaching quality but if you can self study, you should be fine. Good luck with whichever school you choose ?

Thank you so much for the helpful input!! I am ready to just start and kill it! Cannot wait to become such a grat nurse like I know yall are!
