Hello,
I'm new to this board and am wondering if any of you have taken APHY 102 online at Ivy Tech? If so, how was your experience? What campus and instructor did you have? I am currently taking 101 in a classroom setting and am doing very well. Due to work conflicts, I will not be able to take 102 face-to-face this summer. I do not want to delay a whole semester so I'm thinking about going the online route. I'd love any recommendations you have! I'm very nervous about doing this!

Exactly, it was the subjective nature that irritated me. Whose definition of smooth? Literally smooth to the touch, or completely visually smooth on the surface with no papillae? A human tongue has the bumps but in my opinion, feels smooth. I too thought of a cat's tongue, which is very rough esp. when stroked opposite the direction of the little barbs on it. BTW the quiz said the correct answer was False, i.e. a pig tongue is NOT smooth.
As far as opening a new tab, well for the first half of the course my professor required us to use the Lockdown browser, so we couldn't look up anything in any other windows. Then mysteriously about halfway through she announced that it was disabled. A friend of mine in another section of online 102 did not ever have to use the Lockdown browser, nor did my 101 class have to use it.
