although I am in relatively good shape, I have never been tested, I am 43 y/o and I have never done a pushup in my life. where do you learn how to do this. right now it is not so hot, to pass I only need to do 12 to get a score of 60 on that the other 2 parameters I should be okay. how do you learn to do a push up

I would rather go in april I am hoping I will be in the same unit as my friend in the 7228. I wouldnt mind going on a voluntary assignment somewhere. I am with the VA so I can have my cake and eat it too. because our military time goes towards our seniority which is nice. and they guarantee my spot back

federal law mandates that they need to hold a position for you... that's for every institution federal, state or civil. Whether or not they make it difficult for you to work there or not is another whole issue (i.e. play games, become hostile etc.)

Re; the topic APFT pointers

if you have access to the pentagon channel online (www.pentagonchannel.mil) or itunes or zune or whatever you use to get your podcasts....... tons of FIT FOR DUTY podcast available for free. These are from the military and are asskickers and will help get you in shape for the pft and won't cost you a cent.......
