dont know about the states but I"m am currently enrolled in it.I'm able to do it online, with actual online class from my house once a week. I know that we have students from all over canada. maybe its cheaper than down there, but probably not. My first final is this thurs. Its a great class for those of us with limited / no scholling in OR. HEAVY reading and mega tonnes of it. it should consist of four modules or learning areas, first class 4010- area divided into physioligy, drugs, postion instruments etc. all guided by the standards. 4030- actual surguries and tech and instruments used 4020- lab and 4040 which is your practicum or can be credited if currently working OR.( i need 310 hrs) I am finding it very difficult to work and study. But it can be done. WHen finished the certification will be an added bonus for job preference.[bANANA]only 4 more months to go![/bANANA]

I am in a 9 month perioperative program that is hospital based. It is a 40 hour a week job and I get paid as an RN while I am going through it. It is an awesome deal!
Would you mind sharing where you are at? Also, if you know of any other hospitals that offer a similar orientation, that would be great! Thanks!!!
