Anyone waiting to hear back from University of South Alabama BSN-DNP Spring 2014

Published

Hello. Wanted to know if there is anyone out there waiting to hear back about acceptance to the University of South Alabama BSN-DNP program for Spring 2014. I applied for the Psychiatric Mental Health Track for Spring 2014

Specializes in Emergency.

SoonergirlRn, I am in Tulsa and have not received a letter yet. I applied to advanced emergency NP, hoping letters for all the specialties are on the way. Where are you at in OK?

Specializes in Orthopedics.

I am in Mississippi awaiting FNP decision. No word yet...

I'm in the okc area, Rn CEN. Maybe we will find out today :)

Specializes in Emergency.

I hope we find out today......I am ready to know one way or the other and I need to start making considerations for changing my employment status. If you don't mind me asking why did you not choose the advanced emergency np option, ready to get out of the ED?

Rn- Cen, I'm not an Ed nurse. I work in an ICU. A couple of my friends did apply for the same program you did at USA, and it was tempting to me as well.

Sorry accidentally posted a duplicate message

That's cool, sometimes I feel like an ICU nurse(not sure if that is a good or bad thing....) because of how long we have been holding ICU patients in the ED at my hospital.

No letter today......back to the waiting game.

Me too. Maybe our letters will be coming out after the 15th.

I hope they don't hold off until the 15th. The deadline for returning acceptance packets is Nov. 11th, unless they extend the deadline. We would have a very limited time frame to complete the packet in time...

I received my acceptance letter for the BSN-DNP advanced emergency track on Oct. 5. The due date for the acceptance packet says Nov 25.

Awesome good to know it was moved back. Thanks for sharing.

Also, are you currently a BSN, or is it the Accelerated BSN program with direct admit to DNP program following completion of the BSN. I noticed they had this track for non-BSN RN's but had not heard of anyone going through it yet.

Also, curious where you live (for mail time). I am in Oklahoma and it seems as if the pony express still delivers our mail sometimes......
