Anyone on wait list at Solano or Yuba?

U.S.A. California

Just was wondering if anyone's on the wait list at Solano and/or Yuba. Just curious how long the list is. And if anyone is in the nursing program at these schools, what's your experience?

The appt went well. It took no more than 1/2 hour. Basically she said I made the wait list, went over the courses I still need to take to graduate, and said I'd get my wait list number in 6-8 wks in the mail. Said right now it's a 2 yr wait. I'll apply to other colleges in the meantime. This is just my backup plan. A friend of mine applied for 4 yrs (8 times) before getting into a college in Sac, and if she was on a wait list she could've been in and done with a program in that time.

Good luck with your appt today!!

Thanks, my appt went well also. do you know how many students they accept & if they accept for Fall AND Spring? I think it's going to take more than 2 years to get in, but we'll see.

Hi Roxy922, glad your appt went well also. I just assumed they were accepting students for both semesters until I read something on here about it. So really not sure. Not sure how many students they accept either. I did ask her how & when we'll find out the updates as we move up the list, and she said it'd all be explained in the information we get when we get our wait list number. So here's hoping it doesn't take 6-8 wks! Let me know when you find out what your number is. Good luck to both of us that it doesn't take longer than 2 years.

Yeah, I read a thread where someone posted that Solano will only accept students once a year for the Fall semester ! I went on Solano's website, but they don't have any info about how many & when they accept students. But yeah, hopefully we'll get our wait list numbers soon! Good luck to you too & I'll post my wait list number here once I get it.

They didn't start spring 10 program because of lack of the fund. This is what they mentioned at nursing workshop in May. And don't expect to get the letter early. Because I submitted my application packet on June 1st, got an appointment on July 8. I was cancel and got another for 12. Since then I am waiting for the letter. Nothing yet. :(

Finally, I got the letter and I am # 523. If anyone waiting for Solano college, please post your waiting list number. And tell us how long have you been waiting.

I FINALLY got my wait list number! Took about 5-1/2 weeks since my RN Referral appt. I'm #486. Does anyone know if they're accepting applicants for Fall and Spring?

Roxy: did you get your wait list number yet?

CONGRATS RNBOUND! No I haven't received mine yet. I've been been on the look out this past week, but nothing has come yet. Since your RN appointment was a day before mine I'm hoping that I receive something by this week coming up. I'll post my number when I get it. You have a pretty good waitlist number. I was expecting numbers to be in the 800's or something because I applied for Cabrillo College & I'm #853 on their waiting list.

Hi Roxy, Wow, the list at Cabrillo is LONG! But I think the Yuba list is longer. A coworker was 1000+ when she got on the list. I was surprised that the wait list number I received was as low as it was. Solano is an hour from me so it's not my 1st choice, but at least I'm guaranteed to get in their program at some point. With the lotteries you just never know, so I'm trying to cover all my bases. My number came either Fri or Sat, so yours should be here next week. Good luck!!!!

I received my wait list number today! I'm #487 hehe one number before you RNBound! This is also one of my back up schools. It helps to apply in the wait listed programs for back up just in case we're not lucky with the lottery system or our grades/scores don't measure up for the points system. I really hope we can get in sooner at the other schools we're applying to so we wont have to wait 2+ years to start the program.

Oops I meant I'm one number away from you RNBound. So I'm guessing they're only accepting students for Fall semester because the letter says that they let us know our new wait list number ONCE A YEAR after we submit a letter stating that we still want to be in the wait list. It's only a guess though.

Roxy, congratulations on getting your wait list number... only one number away! I know you have to confirm you still want to be on the wait list in September, so that's probably why you only get your updated number once a year, in October. I still have my fingers crossed they're taking students for both semesters. If not it'll end up being a REALLY long wait!
