Anyone visiting Ft. Sam Houston, Texas in May for BAMC tour and physical?

Hey there! I'm Renee and just met with my recruiter yesterday and got set up my physical as well as a tour of Brooke Army Medical Center. It's May 17-19 and the Army pays for all expenses. Just wanted to know if anyone else out there was going too? i look foward to going and pretty sure this will be my deciding factor in joining next year when i graduate with my BSN.

Thanks for checking in, but unfortunately I'm not able to go on the May 17-19 tour. My recruiter called and told me that there were other applicants that already had their packets in or either those looking to join this year, so they are priority, which i completly understand. I don't graduate until next May and will be turning in my application the end of this month. He did assure me that I would be able to go to one of the other tours in the Summer which is fine. Couple of questions, were you able to pick your flight time and were you in the hotel room by yourself? Also, how are things going with you and the process?

Hey well that sucks, but at least you should still get to go. No, we did not pick our flight time. It was all set up by the recruiter so we really did not have any say. Yes we did stay by ourselves in the hotel. Actually my fiance and I were given separate rooms, but still stayed together. So everyone has their own room and the military people there just tell you what time to meet them in the mornings.

Currently I am waiting for my waivers to get approved. My recruiter said we should know in the next 2-3 weeks. Otherwise I am finishing up the last of my paper work so my packet should be done in the next month pending the waivers of course.
