Anyone use ERI in school?

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Hi all! I just graduated a couple of weeks ago, and I was wondering if anyone else's school utilized ERI, or Educational Resources, Inc. We had a lot of RNCAP tests with ERI, as well as taking their NCLEX review and exit exam. It was constantly drummed into us by the instructors that if we did well on the RNCAP tests we would pass NCLEX, and that supposedly the exit exam, on which I did very well, is more difficult than the NCLEX, which I find pretty hard to believe. Can anyone speak from experience in this regard? Thanks!:D

Did you attend Moorpark College? We used the ERI and don't think it was helpful...

My school used ERI in the same fashion. I have not taken my nclex yet, but I too find it hard to believe ERI is harder than nclex. Their questions are infact easier than my school's exam questions to be frank.

Charles, you say it wasn't helpful, care to explain? We find that helpful.

Is it that the questions were to easy? That's what I personally suspect.

Thought the questions were more difficult and were asked in a different fashion. Worst of all, there was no explanation/rationales to questions you got wrong. That's why I thought it wasn't helpful. Lots of student in my class felt the same way.

That's true about the lack of rationales. Thanks for your input and quick reply!

I went to Calhoun College. I don't think ERI has been helpful, either - the lack of rationales for right and wrong answers was definitely to our detriment. I find it very hard to believe, as well, that ERI could be more difficult than the NCLEX, despite what we were told. Thanks, everyone, for your input!

my school used ERI as well, i did the review they offer at the end of nursing school...complete waste of time... the lady told these magical stories i swear she pulled out of her a$$ for the whole week...and our school made us pass with a 66 or something on the final RN assessment test in order for them to complete our transcripts to send to BRN otherwise they would hold them until you did remediation or something....it was complete crap...

we (the 4th semester students) fought it and we won! eri was testing on things never heard of and ridiculousy dumb with no rationales....Also i heard they went out of business or something...thats what our magical story teller reviwer lady told us so i dont know haha

i wish people/instructors would stop saying eri is harder than the nclex. eri is nothing i repeat nothing like the nclex. they shouldn't be compared to each other. having said that, eri questions are hard. many of the answers one has to dig for. however, the questions are not comparable to nclex.

:ancong!:

I Used Eri For My School. Totally Differnt From The Nclex. Everything Is Totally Different From The Nclex!!! Nclex Can Have Easy Questions Or Hard Questions, But I Felt Like Alot Of Priortizing On Every Possible Subject, So You Have To Know Your Stuff Pretty Good.
