I was just wondering if anyone here is from Townsville or North QLD? I am a third year student (external through Charles Darwin Uni) and have just moved to Townsville. Hope to chat with other students or nurses in the area.

Not from Townsville, but just down the road in Mackay...Am a newly registered nurse, fininished my degree oct last year, am now in my 9th month of working full time...What a ride.....Just keeps amazing me....

Hi Jon, well I came off night shift on Tue morning, which was my last placement shift. I have passed all my exams and have just been offered a job with QLD Health, am very happy as you would know what its like. I studied thru CDU (Darwin, Externally). What has your first year out been like? I am really nervous about starting out . Thanks for your reply.

This is a great forum. Congrats for finishing your 2nd year! the last one goes very fast, you will be there before you know it. Do you know what area you want to work in? I am finished and am still not sure!! good luck with the rest of it.

Firstly, congratulations. Secondly, I'm about to commence the CDU course externally, my home campus being Alice Springs. Aside from the niggles on prac, did you enjoy the course and find it worthwhile?
