I have to agree with itsmejuli. The first time I ever took HESI was the OB HESI and I did not do well. Luckily we were given three chances to take the HESI in order to move on to the next semester. I didn't need a third chance but I really feel that doing multiple NCLEX style questions really helped me. I do own the Saunders book, but I feel that for HESI studying from the Mosby's question bank was more effective. I found that after doing multiple questions from that Q&A bank, the HESI questions seemed similar.
Good luck on the HESI!!! Just took my NCLEX RN today so I hope all the HESI's we took in school prepared me :)
I have that Saunders book. I think we are also required to get the Lippincott book for one of our classes next semester.
I'm going to give these a try. I just really want to KILL this HESI! Not sure if I want to precept in L&D or an OB field but it is definitely high on my list. Our teachers make the assignments based on your HESI scores so I at least want that to be an available option for me.

I have to take an OB HESI in a few weeks and I'm trying to get my mind right & be prepared. I have hit benchmark on 2 of my 3 HESIs and I really want to knock this one out of the park in case I decide to precept in OB somewhere next semester.
I heard that the HESI is changing a little this year. Not sure if that is an Evolve thing or school specific. I do know that our med-surg II HESI this semester will be 25% pharmacology but has not been that high on previous tests.
Any tips or tricks you can share? Anyone know if the tests were more post-partum focused or more in another area or was yours pretty much everything?
thanks!
