Anyone taken General College BIO and A&PI in the same semester? My community college will let me take A&PI this summer as long as I take BIO111 at the same time. Is this crazy, or doable?:confused:

At my school, Biology is a prereq for Micro and A & P.

No, but I did take BIO and CHM in the same semester. I won't lie its not easy, but it can be done. Do you really need to take them in the same semester? Or can you space them out? Good luck to you in whatever you do.

I don't have to but in order for me to be finished with my pre-reqs by January for the programs I wish to apply for...I need to take BIO and A&PI this summer, and A&PII, Microbiology this Fall.

I'm taking general bio and anatomy next semester. Hope it's not too bad for either of us!

It's doable.

I know plenty of people who are doing A&P with another science, with most of them being science majors on the premed track.

I'm currently taking Microbiology and A&P II now. It's been a lot of work, but manageable. I took them both at the same time so I could apply for the RN program next fall. :)

This is exactly what I'm going to do this Fall!! I've hear many people say that Microbio is much easier than A&PII...would you say that is accurate, or are they the same?

Sure it's doable.

At my school you have to complete BIO 110 before you can take A&P I, and they're pretty strict about it. But they will allow you to take both A&P I and II at the same time (which does seem crazy to me, but people do it. I don't know anyone who is acing both classes, but people are doing it with B's and C's that I know).

That said, I am taking A&P II and Micro at the same time this summer...

I would have to say, by far, Microbiology has been my favorite class and it corresponds very well with my A&P II class. I enjoy the labs and all the hands on work. I agree that it is a little easier than A&P II.....good luck!
